Traveler Profile Form

Families will receive a traveler profile form electronically.
Please make sure to complete and submit this form for each traveler.

 

Passports/Visas

  • In preparation for the trip, please ensure that you have a valid passport.  

  • If you do not have a passport, please APPLY for one in October.

  • Passport cards are not accepted in Costa Rica, so make sure that you apply for a passport book.

  • If you have a passport, it is important that check and make sure that your passport does NOT expire before October 1, 2023 (6 months after the trip).  If your passport expires before this date, please apply for a new passport at this time.

  • Check your passport to make sure that you have enough empty pages.

  • It is also important to make sure that your passport is not damaged and the emergency contact information page is completed.

  • All passports must be SIGNED by each person before using it at immigration.

  • If you do not hold a US passport, please check to see if you need a VISA in order to enter Costa Rica. If yes, please follow your country’s protocol for obtaining a visa. 

Global Entry

  • If your family travels a lot internationally or would enjoy easier and shorter lines at immigration upon arrival into the USA, please consider applying for a Global Entry card. This card not only speeds up the re-entry process, but also gives travelers the TSA Pre-check option, which helps with faster TSA check lines.

COVID Related Information

  • US citizens are no longer required to show proof of COVID vaccination in order to enter Costa Rica

  • As of August 10, 2022, Costa Rica ended its COVID-19 state of emergency.

  • While facial coverings are not mandatory, private entities may require them.
